Start a Troop

Bring the Troops of Saint George to your parish and help form the next generation of Catholic men.

The Troops of Saint George is an apostolate enabling men and young men to grow in their love for Christ and His Catholic Church while experiencing a life of virtue and adventure. Starting a troop in your parish is easier than you might think.

5 Steps to Launch Your Troop

Follow these steps to bring TSG to your parish community.

01

Recruit Leadership

Find an adult male captain who demonstrates natural leadership qualities. Outdoor expertise isn't mandatory—what matters is a heart for forming young Catholic men in virtue and faith.

02

Build Membership

Assemble interested fathers and sons from your parish community. Remember, TSG requires father-son participation—this isn't a drop-off program, it's a shared journey.

03

Secure Priest Endorsement

Have your sponsoring priest complete an online endorsement letter. This ensures your troop has the blessing and support of your parish clergy.

04

Complete Documentation

Review the Officer's Manual and Field Manual, then submit the online Charter Agreement. Payment of annual charter fees and national dues follows.

05

Schedule Your First Event

Organize a campout, climbing expedition, hike, or fishing trip to launch your troop's activities. Get outdoors and start building brotherhood!
